Palimpsest Paintings

Palimpsest Paintings was my way of returning to painting after a nine-year pause (how time flies!). While finding my way back to the medium in new circumstances, I painted three new works over existing studies that I had set aside, allowing traces and textures from the earlier paintings to become part of the new pieces. This process became a reflection on renewal and transformation, and on the layers that accumulate over time.
